A reader alerted the blog that in this week’s Charlotte Business Journal there is a news item about a company called Ligon Commercial Real Estate that recently represented the owner of a soon-to-open new eatery called HaSaki Grill, a Hibachi Restaurant facing Church Street. In the article it states “Ligon also recently won the listing for the 7,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space at the Vue.”
If the Vue could get this space leased it would then bring in some cash flow and perhaps continue to give it life while it tries to weather the economic downturn and work through the economics with its lenders and buyers. How attractive the space is to a firm would surely depend upon how many units of the Vue actually sell. This could be another high risk, high reward play for a retailer and let’s hope the Vue is successful in finding the right tenant for this.
